Many clients I've worked with have been in counseling before. But they report their previous counselors expressed judgment, disbelief, or little understanding because they were not experienced with cult veterans. Many clients left counseling, therefore, with serious, unresolved issues.

Many therapists and other mental health professionals have not been trained in working with cult veterans. I have developed a manualized approach that can be straightforwardly adapted for use with most cult veterans.
